In 1971, she and her husband, Howard, founded Twinrocker Handmade Paper. As Twinrocker's Master Papermaker, she developed many innovative techniques for using colored paper pulps to create artistic imagery.

Kathryn has exhibited her personal art works in galleries and invitational exhibitions throughout the U.S., Great Britain,Germany, and Japan. Her art work has been discussed and represented in sixty-five different books, magazines and periodicals and is in many private and public collections. In 1985, when Twinrocker began making watercolor paper, Kathryn fell in love with that medium also, and, in recent years, has been painting both plein air and studio watercolors.
